Mrs J. F. Studholme, of Masterton, has returned after a visit to Canterbury.
Mrs C. S. Taylor, of Waireka, has returned from a visit to Palmerston North.
Mr and Mrs S. E. Taylor, of Essex Street, Masterton, have returned from a holiday spent at the Bay of Islands. Mr and Mrs Stace Brunton and family, of Te Ore Ore, are spending a holiday at Paraparaumu. Mr and Mrs Richard Taylor, Pahiatua, are visiting Mr and Mrs H. G. Taylor, Karori, Wellington. Mrs F. Shaw, Otahu, and Mrs K. Davidson, Remueraf Auckland, are visiting their mother, Mrs McKay, Villa Street, Masterton. Mr and Mrs L. H. Barsdell, of Gore, who have been the guests of Mr and Mrs C. S. Taylor, Waireka, have returned home.
Mrs N. A. Miller, president of the Ohingaiti Women’s Division of the New Zealand Farmers’ Union, who was on a visit to Masterton, returned home yesterday. Miss Elsie Curtin, daughter of the leader of the Opposition in the Australian Federal Parliament, Mr John Curtin, and Mrs Curtin, arrived at Wellington by the Awatea yesterday. She will pay a courtesy call on behalf of her father on the Prime Minister, Mr Savage. Miss Curtin, whose home is in Cottesloe, Perth, Western Australia, celebrated her twenty-first birthday on New Year’s Eve.
