MARTINBOROUGH
DEATH OF MR C. G. SIEVERS
(“Times-Age” Special.)
The death occurred yesterday at Hikawera, of Mi- Campbell George Sievers, only son of Mr and Mrs G. L. Sievers, at the age of 24 years. The late Mr Sievers was born at Clareville and educated at St. Patrick’s College, Wellington. After leaving school, he engaged in farming at his father’s property, Hikawera. He took a keen interest in various branches of farming, and was a foundation member and President of the Martinborough Young Farmers’ Club. He was a keen sportsman and besides playing golf and tennis, excelled at football. He was at one time a member of the Martinborough senior football team and later played for the Carterton seniors, representing Wairarapa on several occasions. He was also a prominent member of the Martinborough Sports Club and the Wairarapa P. and A. Society. The funeral will take place to-morrow, at 10.30 o'clock.
