At the conclusion of a conference at Whakatane of delegates representing New Zealand and Australian shareholders of Whakatane Paper Mills Ltd., the managing director announced that the construction of the works was practically completed, and the plant would go into production in the middle of February.

Delegates passed a vote of confidence in the directors and decided to take measures to ensure that the greater part of the company’s recent, £150,000 issue of debenture stock is held by the company’s shareholders.
