SECOND WELLINGTON WOOL SALE DECLINE ON DECEMBER REALISATIONS. FRENZIED BIDDING BUT RIGID LIMITS. (Bv Telegraph—Press Association ) WELLINGTON, This Day. The second wool sale of the season at Wellington was held to-day. The catalogue of 2'7,600 bales of wool, mainly crossbred, in the opinion of some authorities was not quite as attractive as that generally sent in to the January sale at this centre. The condition of the clip is attributed to the unkindly weather experienced here and in most of the rest of the Dominion.

Prices show a decline of a halfpenny to three-farthings on the December realisations here. The opening showed that buyers wanted wool, and bidding was frenzied, but that their limits were rigid. It was also apparent that growers were read}’ to take the market as they found it. for in the earlier catalogues relatively little wool was passed in. The prices in the earlier catalogues show: Corriedale, lOd to lid and in some instances 123 d; Sohthdown, 9d to lOd; halfbred, 9,1 d to lljd; fine crossbred, 9,?d to 12Jd. and in one case, 133 d; medium crossbred, 9d to lOd; low crossbred, 8d to 93d; hogget wool, 9|d to lid; lambs’ wool, 93d to 113 d; bellies and pieces, 7d to 93d; crutchings, 5Jd to 73d.
