BRITISH AMATEUR RIDER'S BETS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, January 7. Two years ago Jack Morris could not ride a horse. Now he is an expert amateur and is riding his own horse Drim, a fine steeplechaser, in the Grand National on March 24.
He has already bet £5OO to £lO against his getting over the first fence. £6OOO to £6O against his completing the first circuit, and £lOOO to £1 against winning. Morris has reduced his weight from 12.7 to 10.2 in one year.
