The fall of Artesa, on the right bank af the Segre River, which the Nationilists claim officially to have captured is one of the most important victories af General France’s offensive, as it is the keypoint in the Republican left ving defences. Simultaneously the nationalists are pressing towards Tarragona, 24 miles distant. It is officially stated that the Nationalist vanguards are within 62 miles of Barcelona. REBEL .CASUALTIES IN RECENT NAVAL BATTLE. LONDON, January 4.
