PARIS CINEMAS CLOSE
PROTEST AGAINST NEW TAX

About 300 central Paris cinemas are closing today for a week as a protest against the new cinema tax ranging from 3.6 per cent to 15 per cent, according to monthly receipts. Proprietors declare that it means raising prices by easily 15 per cent.
