Rebels set fire to the Government offices at Beersheba and considerable damage was done before Highlanders extinguished the flames. AWARDS FOR GALLANTRY. (British Official Wireless.) RUGBY, January 3. Awards for gallant and distinguished service in Palestine gazetted tonight include the Military Cross to two officers and one warrant officer and. the Military Medal to seven non-commissioned officers.
