SCHOOL BICYCLES Now is the time to send in the bicycles to be overhauled and renovated ready for school. Send them in now, and we will get them done very quickly for you. W. G. PERRY'S 229 QUEEN STREET, MASTERTON.

Good progress is being made by the contractors for the Waikato Hospital Patients’ Sunshine League with the installation of headphones to the patients at the Waikato Hospital. The work involves the fitting of more than 3000 yards of wiring. When the installation is completed each patient will have the choice of two programmes. An automatic gramophone is also being provided. By the aid of a microphone the hospital authorities will be enabled to speak to all the patients in the hospital, while a land telephone will enable patients to receive local sports results. The Sunshine League has done much to ease the lot of the patients during the year. Concerts are given regularly in the wards, while frequent distributions of clothing and comforts , are made. The inmates of the children’s ward receive special attention. Co-operat-ing with the league in the distribution of the gifts are the women’s division of the Farmers’ Union and the Women’s Institutes.
