Mrs H. Eglinton, of Pahiatua, who has been on a visit to Morrinsville, has returned home.

Mrs N. McLeod and Miss L. Hill, of Greytown, left yesterday on a trip to the South Island.

Miss Ngaire McLaren, of Bush Gully, returned by the Awatea from Sydney on Monday, after a holiday of five weeks spent there.

Mr and Mrs John Lawson, of Masterton, with their family, have been the guests of Mr and Mrs George Lawson, Bank of Australasia, Palmerston North.

Miss B. Mason and Mr L. M. Mason, Renall Street. Masterton, accompanied by Miss B. Pain, Kaituna, left by motor car yesterday for a holiday in Gisborne.

A wedding which created interest in society circles was celebrated yesterday at the Great Synagogue in Sydney, a cablegram reports, when Mr Joseph Heinemann, Wellington, New Zealand, was married to Miss Kitty Solomon, daughter of Mr R. W. Solomon, Potts Point. Rabbi Falk officiated. The bridegroom’s sister Nancy and the bride's sister Janet were the bridesmaids. Mr Heinemann and his wife will sail for New Zealand by the Monterey tomorrow.
