Fenwick, of Martinborough, is visiting her daughter, Mrs V. Wilton, Pahiatua. Miss Joan Fenwick, Lower ‘Hutt, returned home by the Awatea on Monday from a trip to England. Mr and Mrs J. Kent-Johnston, of Pahiatua, have taken up their residence in Masterton. Mrs H. Holmes Miller and Miss J. Miller, of Ngaturi, are spending a holiday at Eastbourne. Mrs R. Thornton Grooby, of Wellington, is visiting hei’ sister, Mrs R. E. Chamberlain, Te Ore Ore, Masterton. Mr and -Mrs G. Wagg and family, Renall Street, are at -Paraparaumu Beach. Mrs Cocker and Miss L. Cocker, Albert Street, are spending a holiday at Oriental Bay. Dr and Mrs H. M. Parton, Christchurch, are visiting Mr C. E. Daniell, “Mathon Lodge.” Mrs Kennedy' and Miss Doreen Kennedy, Opaki Road, have returned from Paraparaumu Beach. Mrs Horner has returned from a visit to Waikaremoana. She is now staying with her daughter, Mrs Guy Wagg. Mrs Leonard Nelson, New South Wales, has arrived -at Wellington on a visit to her son, Mr R. G. -Nelson, Oriental Bay. Before -returning home She will makea tour of New Zealand.

The engagement is announced of Lilian, daughter of Mr and Mrs D. E. Williams, “Toathrahui,” Masterton, to Sydney James, son of the late Mr and Mrs J. W. A. Falloon, of “Bowlands,” Bideford.
