NORTHERN QUEBEC AREA. MONTREAL. Since the first ingot of gold was produced 11 years ago from mines in the vicinity of what is now the town of Noranda, Northern Quebec has produced. 160.000,000 dollars in new wealth and 50.000.000 dollars in dividends. The production this year is expected to approximate 30.000.000 dollars in gold and from 10,000,000 dollars to 12,000,000 dollars in copper. An area 150 miles long by 45 miles wide is at present in process of being worked although the mineralised region extends far beyond this.
