Clarke, of Pahiatua, is spending a holiday in Wellington. Mrs A. Robbins, of Pigeon Bush, is on holiday at Paraparaumu. Miss I. Gordon, Gladstone, is making a short stay in Wellington. Mrs R. Bridge is a Pahiatua visitor to Wanganui, where she is the guest of Mrs M. Broadhead.
Mrs L. Cross, of Church Street, Masterton, will leave early next week on a visit to Auckland. Miss N. Greathead and Miss Nola Renment, of Eketahuna, have left on a motor tour of the North Island. Miss Ann McCullough, of Hunterville, is visiting relatives in Masterton.
Mrs Trevor Thomson, of Parnell, Auckland, is spending a holiday with relatives in Masterton.

Mr and Mrs Brian Barr er, of Christchurch, are the guests of Mr and Mrs T. R. Barrer, of Masterton. Mr and Mrs John Hawksworth, of Gisborne, are visitors to ■ Masterton, being ■ the guests of Mr and -Mrs T. Hawksworth of Master ton. Mr and Mrs Alan Hutchison, Khandallah, are visiting Mrs Hutchison’s parents, Mr and Mrs R. C. Drummond, Lansdowne.
Mr. and Mrs C. Burnard and family, who have been spending Christmas in Masterton, have returned to«their home at Belmont. Mr and Mrs N. R.- Trilfcrd and family, accompanied by Mr W. H. Trilford, of Miramar, Wellington, are visitors to Master ton. Mrs Andrew Hornblow, of Wellington, is the guest of her daughter, Mrs W. H. Saunders, Essex Street, Masterton.
Mrs 'Greenhouse and Miss Greenhouse are Auckland visitors to Greytown* being the guests of Mrs F. Dennes.
Miss Gertrude Wilmshnr'St, of Christchurch, is a visitor to Masterton, and is the guest of her uncle and aunt, Mr and Mrs Claude Wilmshurst, Tararua Street. ENGAGEMENT. The engagement is announced of Muriel Eileen, only daughter of Mr and Mrs H. Smith, to Robert Rue, eldest son of Mr and Mrs R. Payne, Eketahuna.
