The December averages of the cows tested by the Wairarapa Herd Testing Association are as follow: — Greytown No. 1 Group: Cows under test, 1103; monthly group average, 8641 b milk, 37.61 b fat; highest herd average, 21 cows, 501 b fat; highest cow, 811 b fat. Greytown No. 2 Group: Cows under test, 1254; monthly group average, 958 lb milk, 39.11 b fat; highest herd average, 63 cows, 481 b fat; highest cow, 901 b fat.
Gladstone Group: Cows under test, 1499; monthly group average, 8751 b milk, 41.21 b fat; highest herd average, 46 cows, 511 b fat; highest cow, 971 b fat.
Featherston Group: Cows under test, 2257; monthly group average, 9011 b miK, 36.81 b fat; highest herd average, 79 cows, 491 b fat; highest cow, 871 b fat. Martinborough Group: Cows under test, 1530; monthly group average, 814 lb milk, 35.11 b fat; highest herd average, 56 cows, 401 b fat; highest cow, 72 lb fat.
Pahautea Group: Cows under test, 618; monthly group average, 7971 b milk, 37.51 b fat; highest herd average, 27 cows, 461 b fat; highest cow, 791 b fat.
Association summary (figures for the corresponding period in the previous year given in parentheses): Cows under test, 8261 (8357); monthly association average, 8761 b milk (8701 b milk), 38.081 b fat (36.71 b fat); highest herd average, 46 cows, 511 b fat (20 cows, 511 b fat); highest cow, 971 b fat (1281 b fat).
