“LABOUR HEROES”
NEW AWARD IN RUSSIA MOVE TO STIMULATE OUTPUT IN INDUSTRY. SUPER-GROUP OF PRIVILEGED WORKERS. (Independent Cable Service.) MOSCOW, December 29. In an attempt to stimulate industrial output, the Government has created the title, of “Hero of Socialist Labour,” which will rank with that of “Hero of Socialist Union.” The new award entitles the holder to a stipend, money premiums, a house, and a motor-car. It is intended to create a super-group of privileged workers.
