The Minister of Commerce (Sir Earl Page) said the Commonwealth Government had not agreed to any curtailment of the present exports of mutton and lamb to Britain. The Commonwealth Government had never concurred in the view that imported supplies from Australia and New Zealand were adversely influencing the prices of British home-grown products.
