COLONEL STANDISH
RETIREMENT FROM CENTRAL COMMAND. FA RE WELLED BY BROTHER OFFICERS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) WELLINGTON. This Day. Lieutenant-Colonel Standish, who refires shortly from the position of officer commanding the Central Military Command was met last evening by his brother officers, of both the Permanent and Territorial forces, at a Social gathering where good wishes were extended to him. About eighty were present.
