BRITAIN & GERMANY. WAY OPENED TO FORMAL DISCUSSIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright, I (Received This Day, 10.40 a.m.) LONDON, December 22. Following on informal discussions between the Federation of British Industries and the Reich Gruppe Industrie, it is announced that a common basis has been found on which official trade discussions between England and Germany can be inaugurated early in the New Year, not only on mutual increase, but also on competition in world markets.
