MAN WHO THREW TOMATOES AT APPEAL JUDGES. RELEASED AFTER WRITING APOLOGY. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright (Received This Day, 12.35 p.m.) LONDON, December 21. After writing an apology from gaol, Frank Harrison was released by the judges at whom he threw tomatoes. The remission was granted owing to the approach of Christmas. An astounding scene occurred in the Court of Appeal in London on December; 2, when Frank Harrison, after the rejection of an application for a new trial in the County Court, returned to the Court as the judged were departing for lunch, and shouted, “I want justice.” Simultaneously he flung several tomotoes at Lord Justices Clauson and Goddard. The tomatoes missed the judges and burst against the woodwork. A spectator seized Harrison’s arm, preventing him throwing more. The judges returned to the Bench, and Lord Justice Clauson said: “We have dealt with the application to the best of our ability.” He ordered Harrison to spend six weeks in prison for contempt of court. Harrison, yelling “There is no justice left in England,” was hustled out.
