SHOPPING BASKET

USEFUL HANDLE HINT. When the handle of your shopping basket becomes worn out, do not throw ■he basket away. Instead, cut :he handle off flush with the edge, using a sharp knife or a razor blade if you wish, to get a neat finish. Then sandpaper the edge and paint the basket inside and out with bright Chinese lacquer. The tall type of basket does for a waste-paper basket, and the shallow type is a lovely container for fruit or eggs.
