A CHRISTMAS PARTY

GATHERING AT CARTERTON. ("Times-Age” Special.) The Band Hall, Carterton. last evening was the scene of a very enjoyable Christmas party given by the C.W.S. Social Committee. From a Christmas tree two hundred children each received a present at the hands of Father Christinas, who extended seasonal greetings to the children and their parents. Supper was provided and dancing was indulged in till after midnight. The following programme of concert items was given:—Mouth organ item, Ken White: tap dance. Miss.es Grace Bradbury and Kathleen Hayes; song, Patricia Upritchard; violin solo, Jim Upritchard; song. Olive Grandlerson: tap dance, Grace Bradbury; song. Greta White; violin solo. Bill Hayes; song. Grace Bradbury; duet. Barbara and K. Reid. Miss Charlotte Hayes was the accompaniste for the concert items, and the dance, music was played by Rewa Hopkins. Altogether the gathering was a most enjoyable one.
