CONFIDENCE IN FRANCE

UNUSUAL BOOM ON BOURSE. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, December 20. The Paris representative on “The Times” says that securities boomed unprecedently on the Bourse yesterday and Rentes jumped three to six points. Profit-taking was easily absorbed and Government stocks finished three to seven points higher. This can be ascribed to the easy passage through the Chamber of the Foreign Ministry appropriations, the absence of threats to France in Signor Mussolini’s speech on December 18 and business men’s optimism regarding the success of the Finance Minister’s fouryear plan.
