In their new premises an unusually large Spare Parts Department has been developed, witn a most comprehensive array of parts and accessories. All parts are featured under the open-display system as used in modern department stores. This Spares section adjoins the showroom, and from it a servery connects with the garage, which has been planned on the most efficient and up-to-date lines. A large staff of skilled mechanics is employed. Each mechanic has his own steel bench, with racks above for the orderly keeping of tools. The name of each mechanic is shown above his bench, and also his “A” grade certificate giving his qualifications. All the latest tools and power equipment are provided for handling. every class of repair or maintenance work to engine, electrical system, transmission and body construction. One specially interesting appliance is the Ford laboratory test set, which enables the mechanic to diagnose practically every complaint which can afflict the mechanical working of a car. Valuable tools and machines are treated with great care so that their accuracy and efficiency will be maintained. This equipment is kept in a special tool room. The electrical department is kept up to the ■same high standards that pre-, vail throughout the organisation. There is a specially fitted up electrical test bench, and a large battery room where specially trained experts carry out the servicing yid repairing of batteries.
