URUWHENUA MURDERS
INQUEST ADJOURNED. FOLLOWING ON IDENTIFICATION OF VICTIMS. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NELSON, Chis Day. An inquest on the Uruwhenua murder victims —Mrs Arthut Kerr, aged 49, and her son, Jack, aged 10 —was opened at Takaka this morning for identification purposes and adjourned sine die by the Coroner, Mr R. W. Kirk, J.P. 1 KERR IN COURT. REMANDED TO APPEAR AT NELSON. (By Telegraph—Press Association.) NELSON, This Day. At a sitting of the Magistrate’s Court at Takaka this morning, with Mr R. W. Kirk, J.P., presiding, Arthur Frederick Kerr, farmer, of Uruwhenua, was charged with the murder of his wife, Lorna May Kerr, at Uruwhenua on December 16. On the application of Inspector J. Carroll, accused was remanded to appear at the Magistrate’s Court at Nelson on Monday, December 19.
