As a result of the first day’s play in the Wilding Shield challenge match, Auckland, holder of the trophy, has set Waikato a difficult proposition, and the visitors will have to stage a miraculous recovery to succeed. The Auckland players won all six matches decided today, four singles and twodoubles.
