The Director-General of the Post and Telegraph Department (Mr G. McNamara) advises through the department’s philatelic Bulletin No 7 that the penny air mail stamp will be withdrawn from sale on December 31 and will not be replaced. The stamps of other denominations, 3d and 6d will not be reprinted, but they will remain on sale until present stocks are exhausted.
