General situation: A rather vigorous depression, the last of the present series, is now cressing the South Island; an anti-cyclone is advancing across the north Tasman Sea. Forecast: Moderate to strong north-west to westerly winds, a temporary change to southerly possible. later weather changeable, with occasional showers, more especially in the western .districts, but later improving, temperatures becoming cooler.
