BOWLING

MASTERTON PARK CLUB.

MEETING OF COMMITTEE.

Mr G. T. Dagg (vice-president) presided over a full attendance at the monthly meeting of the committee when a large quantity of business was disposed of. Notification was received from the Wairarapa Bowling Centre that the names of the winners of the various club championships are to be handed to the Centre secretary not later than the first week in February, 1939. Mr R. Jenkins notified the committee that owing to increasing pressure of private business he was reluctantly compelled to resign from the office of sole selector.

In accepting with regret Mr Jenkins’s resignation, the committee resolved to place on record their deep appreciation of Mr Jenkins’s services during the past two years. Mr A. E. Kilgour has consented tc act as sole selector during the remainder of the 1938-39 season.
