MAGISTRATE’S COURT
BUSINESS AT MASTERTON SITTING. MOTORING & OTHER CHARGES. A sitting of the Masterton Magistrate’s Court was held this morning before Mr H. P. Lawry, S.M.
For having no warrant of fitness for his motor vehicle, Leo Edward Serra was fined 10s and costs 10s.
On the information of Mr J. McGregor, Borough Traffic Inspector, John Jamas Mansfield was fined £1 and costs 10s for having, no warrant of fitness for his car.
On a charge'of parking his car in Queen Street more than 2 feet from the kerb, William B. C. Maddevcr was fined 15s and costs 12s. A charge of parking in a prohibited area (outside the Fire Brigade Station) was withdrawn, the Magistrate stating that the regulations required a notice to tic erected to the effect that no parking was allowed. It was not sufficient to have it painted on the road. Stanley George Wyatt, for having no radio licence, was fined £1 and costs 10s. The Deputy Radio Inspector. Mr Burke, prosecuted.
