The 1939 edition of “Nauticus,” the German Admiralty’s official annual, for the first time reveals that the equipment of the new German aircraft carriers includes a numbei' of aircraft fitted for mine-laying. The mines.will be dropped into the sea from low altitudes or released from seaplanes taxiing along the surface.
