ITALY’S TACTICS

PRESSURE ON FRANCE FROM NEW ANGLE PROPAGANDA IN CORSICA. NATURE OF CONCESSIONS. SOUGHT. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LONDON, December 13. Italy has temporarily transferred her campaign from Tunis to Corsica, where she is increasing her propaganda designed to encourage an autonomous movement.

The. opinion is expressed that Italy is less anxious for territorial gains than she is to force France to grant concessions in Tunis and Somaliland, which were shelved because of the Abyssinian war.

Despite reports that Italy has enormously strengthened her forces on the Libya frontier the situation is easier.

The Tunis disturbances have ceased, and sharp diplomatic action is unlikely at present. France is more disposed to await developments. The Berlin correspondent of “The Times” says that sympathy with Italy’s claims to Jibuti and to a share in the Suez Canal is expressed by the "National Zeitung.” which declares that the renewal of the Anglo-French entente has displeased Signor Mussolini. who regarded the British and French efforts to strengthen their] friendship with Turkey as aggressive toward Italy.
