General situation: Pressure is still low in the south but gradients are only moderate; a series of westerly depressions is crossing the South Island while another shallow disturbance is located to the north of the Dominion. Forecast: West to north-west winds, mainly moderate, but freshening at times; weather cloudy with occasional and mainly light to moderate rain, more especially in western areas; temperatures mild.
