GAINS IN SEVERAL WAR AREAS. LARGE FORCES REPULSED. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day. 1.10 p.m.) LONDON, December 12. The Chinese Embassy asserts that the Chinese have again recaptured Waiehow and are at present driving the Japanese towards Poklo. The Japanese are not progressing in Kwangtung. The Chinese have recaptured Wutlungling, in Central China and have repulsed large forces attempting to cross the Fen River to Lingfen. Despite these successes, the Japanese assert that the Chinese guerilla campaign is deteriorating.
