Four constables who were dismissed from the force following on the findings of Judge Markell, when he sat as a Royal Commission on starting price betting in 1936, have been vindicated as a result of additional evidence, which was heard by Judge Markell recently. The officers cleared are Constables Brook, Patterson, Fletcher and Bradbury.
