SITTING OF NO. 2 AUTHORITY. DEMAND WELL SUPPLIED. “For the past two and a half years it has been recognised that there is more than sufficient transport available for the demand if it is properly organised,” said the No 2 Transport Licensing Authority, Mr P. Skoglund, at a sitting in Masterton yesterctay. An application for the transfer of goods service licenses from F. T. Harding to B. N. Harding was granted. T. E. Tidswell was granted a new passenger service license from Featherston to Wharepapa. Objections were raised by Mi’ R. R. Burridge, on behalf of five Eketahuna carriers to an application by E. Goss, Newman, for an amendment to his goods service licence to enable him to carry sheep and manures. Mr Skoglund refused to grant the request, observing that he saw no reason to do so.
Ramsden and Kelly, Martinborough, were granted an additional vehicle authority to cart metal in the Featherston county and an additional vehicle authority to cart metal and stock in the Featherston county and store stock to the Masterton saleyards and return.
