~ Miss A M. Brown reports as follows for the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today:— Barograph, 29.93. Shade temperature: Maximum 70.2, minimum 45.1, terrestrial 33.8. Sunshine, 12 hours 56 min. General situation: Pressure has risen somewhat except in the north and pressure gradients have consequently weakened. A depression is, however, moving on to the Auckland Province while another is approaching across the south Tasman Sea. Forecast: Northerly to north-westerly winds prevailing and later freshening; weather mainly fair to cloudy but some rain probable in western areas; temperatures mild.
