CHURCH SERVICES

A feature of the services tomorrow at St Matthew’s Church will be the special music. In the morning the choir will render a number of wellknown Christmas carols, and in the evening a song service of praise will be sung, including "His Name Shall Endure” (Belcher), “Sing and Rejoice” (Barnby), “Glory to God in the Highest’’ (Markham Lee), “Let Your Light io Shine” (Barnby). and “The Glory of the Lord,” from Handel’s "Messiah.” The following solos from "The Messiah” will be sung:—“He Shall Feed His Flock," by Miss Rose Robinson; "Come Unto Me.” by Mrs J. Moss, and "The People that in Darkness Walk," by Mr L. Dilnot Wales, whilst Mr Miller Hope will play as an organ solo an offertory on Adeste Fideles. The choir will be under the direction s of Mr William C. Mann, with Mr Miller Hope at the organ. Special Christmas festival music will be featured in the evening service at the Methodist Church tomorrow, when the well-known junior choir of 80 x trained voices will give the beautiful cantata, “Chimes of the Holy Night.” The soloists will be Misses Andrew. Orr and Davey, and Masters Orr. Davey and Perrin. The conductor is Miss Ivie Donald, with Miss C. Donald, L.R.S.M.. at the organ, and Miss E. Donald as leader.
