CENTRAL SCHOOL

ANNUAL CONCERT. Next Wednesday and Thursday evenings in the Central School Assembly Hall the annual concert will oe staged, great activity and much excitement being in evidence at the moment on account of the keenness of ihe performers. The programme promises to be the best that has been staged for some time, and will be full of variety, movement, and colour. Several playettes will form part of the programme. Each is' well prepared, and each has its own appeal, humour not being by any means absent. Some really good singing by the choir is promised, and a new item will be “choral verse speaking” by pupils of the upper standards. The mouth organ band will be in evidence, end nas prepared some good tunes with specially arranged harmonising. Smart drill by the boys, and folk dancing by the girls, will add variety. A Dutch series of bid. IV children will prove a very fascinating series. These and other items will undoubtedly provide .1 programme that should not be missod by parents and friends of the school. The proceeds will be used to provide further sports gear to allow for greater numbers of children to develop physically. The drum and trumpet band will parade through the town on each evening. .
