EKETAHUNA
AN ENJOYABLE CONCERT.
(“Times-Age” Special.) The concert given by the pupils of Mrs Jefferie was of a most enjoyable character. The work of the pupils showed very careful and skilful tuition and the performance was a tribute to the excellent work of Mrs Jefferies. The programme was as follows: Pianoforte solos, Sybil Walton, June McAnulty, Robert Macky, Jill Young, Kathleen Willis, Joy Hornblow, June McLellan, Betty Harrington,' Grace Gallagher, Margot Capes, Maurice Wilson, Isla Pryde, Thyra Evans, Jacqueline Young, Margaret Sutherlarid. Kathleen Ryan, Gwenethe Evans, Beverly Hunter, Joan Breen and Eila Evans. Duets, Margot Capes and Grace Gallagher, Joyce Terry and Isla Pryde, Joan Breen and Beverly Hunter and Thyra and Gwen Evans. Songs were interspersed, and the accompaniments played by fellow pupils as follow: Betty Harrington and Sybil Walton (accompanied by June McLellan); Joyce Terry )by Margot Capes); June McLellan (by Grace Gallagher). A prize was presented by Mrs Jefferies to Joan Breen for returning the best practice card. Eketahuna Sale. At the Eketahuna sale yesterday prices for sheep were well up to late rates.
