REFUSAL OF 100,000 DOLLAR OFFER. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. LOS ANGELES, December 8. Mrs Helen Wills Moody announced that she had declined an offer of approximately 100,000 dollars to turn professional, and intimated that she was prepared to carry out another international tour in 1939 on behalf of the United States Lawn Tennis Association if the latter desired. Otherwise she did not expect to play any more competitive tennis.
