An electrical contrivance for pre venting car thefts has been introduced at Trieste. The device, which is con cealed, is brought into action when th< owner leaves his car, and should an other person take his seat it automatic ally blocks both the doors and the en gine. At the same time a hootesounds to warn passers-by and possibl: the police that the intruder is alread; a prisoner, at least temporarily. .
