■■ * • THE AUSTRALIAN WATERFRONT HOLD=UP DECISION TO CONTINUE STRIKE. MEN REFUSE TO LOAD SHIP FOR JAPAN. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. CANBERRA. December 7. Following a conference with officials of the waterside workers’ organisations today, the Commonwealth Government is deferring the issue of licences to wharf labourers at Port Kembla, pending negotiations for settlement of the dispute concerning the loading of pig iron on the steamer Dalfram for Japan. The workers, however, decided to continue the strike. Several speakers at a mass meeting today declared that nothing would alter their decision against loading materials likely to be used as war munitions by Japan against China. Arrangements have been made to picket the local wharves.
