BOMBING OF VILLAGE IN SPAIN BY ITALIAN AND GERMAN PLANES. SPANISH GOVERNMENT'S QUESTIONS. By Telegraph—Press Association—Copyright. (Received This Day, 12.55 p.m.) BARCELONA. December 5. Eighteen Italian and eleven German planes bombed four villages, killing eleven persons and wounding twentytwo. The loyalists have approached the British Government, drawing attention to the Spanish Government’s alarm and have asked what steps Britain will take in face of such a defiance of humanitarianism.
