BLACKWALL TUNNEL
DUPLICATION PROJECTED. • PROPOSAL TO LONDON COUNTY COUNCIL. (British Official Wireless.) (Received This Day, 9.52 a.m.) RUGBY, December 5. Under powers recently obtained from Parliament, a proposal is to be placed before the London County Council to proceed forthwith with a duplication of the Blackwall Tunnel under the Thames, in order to relieve traffic congestion. The total cost is estimated at £3,122,220.
