IRON GUARDS ATTACK JEWS i * BUILDINGS BURNT DOWN. SUCCESSOR FOR CODREANU. By Telegraph—Press Association —Copyright. LONDON, December 5. The Bucharest correspondent of the “Daily Telegraph” says that many arrests have followed the shooting of the three Iron Guards yesterday. Many Jewish buildings were burnt down and Jews were attacked in Bessarabia wnere the Iron Guards ordered Jewish teachers- to close their schools. A lawyer, M. Jon Victor Vojen, who is in hiding in order to avoid arrest, has taken over M. Codreanu’s leadership of the Iron Guard.

The British United Press correspondent at Bucharest says apparently, as the Iron Guards’ first retaliation in connection with the death of M. Codreanu, two men shot at and wounded with pistols Colonel Crislescu, President of the Cernauti Military Court. The police arrested a studen, Leonid Lututovici, whose companion escaped.
