“ARTISTS AND MODELS.” “Artists and Models” will be finally shown at the Cosy theatre tonight. “GRAND EXIT.” “Grand Exit,” Columbia’s timely and dramatic production of the G-men of the fire investigators, will be on view at the Cosy Theatre, starting tomorrow night. Seen in the leading roles are Edmund Lowe and Ann Sothern, who made her screen debut about two years ago opposite Lowe in “Let's Fall in Love.” Lowe portrays the role of Tom Fletcher, a happy-go-lucky ladies’ man, albeit one of the the most intrepid of insurance company private fire detectives. Investigating a series of mysterious blazes of incendiary origin, Lowe finds his suspicions unwillingly directed at lovely Miss Sothern, whose presence has always been noted at the scene of the blazes. His heart having been won by the fair Miss Sothern, Lowe risks everything on a strategic ruse to trap the real criminal. How Lowe discovers the firebug’s identity, the manner in which he operates, and the motive for his crimes, provides the basis for the thrills and drama, which, despite its underlying theme of death and destruction, contains a light arid flippant romantic comedy vein. Another good picture which will be shown is “Too Tough to Kill,” a drama of a tunnel project and featuring Victor Jory, and Sally O’Neil, Ward Bond, Thurston Hall, Gene Morgan, Frank Rice, Robert Glecker and Johnny Arthur are in the supporting cast.
