RAIN IN SAMOA
RECORD FALL FOR MONTH OF NOVEMBER. NATIVE VILLAGE WASHED OUT. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. APIA, December 3. Heavy rainfall of 33 1-3 inches, the biggest on record for the month of November, was experienced here yesterday. Advices from Savaii report that the village of Avao on the north coast was washed out and the natives were forced to seek shelter at other villages. Earl and Countess Beatty and party, who were four days out on their trip around Savaii, were held up by the floods and weather conditions.
