VIOLENT LITIGANT

SCENE IN BRITISH COURT OF APPEAL TOMATOES THROWN AT JUDGES. SENTENCE OF SIX WEEKS FOR CONTEMPT. By Telegraph—Press Association— Copyright. (Received This Day, 9.55 a.m.) LONDON, December 2. There was an astounding scene ift the Court of Appeal when Frank Harrison, after the rejection of his application for a new County Court trial, returned to the Court, when the judges were departing at lunch time, and shouted: “I want justice, at the same time throwing several tomatoes at Lord Justices Clausen and Goddard. The tomatoes missed the judges and burst against some woodwork. A spectator seized Harrison’s arm, thus preventing him throwing more. The judges returned to the Bench. Lord Clauson said: “We have dealt with the application to the best of our ability.” Harrison was sentenced to six weeks imprisonment for contempt of court. Yelling: “There is no justice left in England,” he was then hustled out.
