Mr H. M. Boddington reports that 31 points of rain fell at Solway during the 24 hours ended 9 a.m. today.
General situation: Yesterday’s depression is now passing eastward but a rather deep secondary depression is approaching across the south Tasman Sea. Pressure has again risen considerably over south-eastern Australia. Forecast: Moderate but later increasing westerly to north-westerly winds, but a change to southerly probable after about 24 hours; a few isolated showers probable, but weather mainly fair to cloudy; more general showers probable with the southerly change; temperatures moderate but becoming cooler tomorrow.
