TOMORROW’S GAMES.
Though probably most people will go to the Showgrounds tomorrow afternoon in a spirit of curiosity, just to see what this game of Baseball really is, there will be few who will not be thrilled by the daring play of the four crack Wellington teams which will meet in coinpetition. Tomorrow’s games will not be mere demonstrations. They are actual competition matches, the venue being changed from Wellington to Masterton. Consequently the teams will meet in a spirit of keen rivalry and exciting matches will undoubtedly result. To enable locdl people Who know nothing of the game to follow the play exactly, loud speakers Will be installed, and an experienced American commentator will describe every move. A number of supporters of the various teams will be there from Wellington and their barracking Will add colour to the play and give Wairarapa people an exact idea of the spectators’ part. It should really be a thrilling afternoon? and a large crowd is expected. The proceeds will be devoted to the A. and P. As-, sociation, and a low price for admission will be charged.
